Rosalia
Rosalia Vila is a Spanish flamenco and pop singer. Since she was a teen she sang with traditional as well as popular music. Her musical interests have expanded to include soul, hip-hop and hip-hop. Pepe Haichuela, flamenco guitarist and well-known musician, has described the sound of the young singer as sharp with sweetness but with bite. El Mal Querer was her significant commercial breakthrough and critical success in the year 2018. The single Los Angeles garnered her attention and a Latin Grammy Nomination for Best New Artist, it topped Billboard's Latin Pop Albums and she received the Grammy. La Fama, featuring The Weeknd is due out in 2021. Her third long-player Motomami featured songwriting collaborations with a variety of producers and artists including Cory Henry and James Blake. The set came out in the month of March 2022, following the Saturday Night Live performance featuring the song Chicken Teriyaki. Rosalia became the first Spanish singer to perform solo on the show. Motomami Rosala was also the recipient of three Latin Grammy Awards and the Latin Album of the Year award twice, she was the first female to be awarded both.
